Here's a simple somatic healing exercise for you to try at home

Grounding Meditation:

Step 2: Connect with Your Breath: Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths, allowing your body to relax with each exhale. Notice the sensation of your breath as it moves in and out of your body.

Step 3: Scan Your Body: Bring your awareness to different parts of your body, starting from your head and moving down to your toes. Notice any areas of tension, discomfort, or sensation.

Step 4: Grounding Visualization: Visualize roots extending from the soles of your feet, anchoring you to the earth below. Imagine these roots growing deep into the earth, grounding you and providing stability and support.

Step 5: Sensory Awareness: Bring your attention to your senses. Notice the sensation of your body making contact with the ground or any surfaces beneath you. Tune into any sounds, smells, or sensations in your environment.

Step 6: Gentle Movement: Begin to gently move your body in a way that feels natural and comfortable. You might sway from side to side, stretch your limbs, or gently massage any areas of tension.

Step 7: Breath and Release: As you continue to move, focus on your breath. With each exhale, imagine releasing any tension or stress stored in your body. Allow your breath to be slow, deep, and rhythmic.
